Safety and Health of workers is an important part of an organization’s management system. With this, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has issued laws which monitors the work environments.

To protect the workers from workplace hazards, Rule 1077 of the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (DOLE) requires the employers to maintain and control the working environment in comfortable and healthy conditions for the purpose of promoting and maintaining the health of the workers.

Working Environment Measurement (WEM) means sampling and analysis carried out in respect of the atmospheric working environment and other fundamental elements of working environment for the purpose of determining actual conditions therein.
